I met Jonathan Carr at a Looper gig in 1999, a friendship formed and in 2001 we started the band Hoboken. A songwriting partnership which blended Jonathan's love of the classic American songbook with my love of 80s electro. Neil Cameron and Michael Banister completed the four piece on bass and keyboards/drums respectively. In 2003, under our own Royal Jelly Records imprint, we released our first single, Hotel Lisboa; second single, Vainglorious followed swiftly that same year. 2004 saw the release of our debut album Crazy Glue. Another single Beauty Queen follwed in 2006 and a tour supporting The Human League. In 2007 however we decided to call it a day. Jonathan is now a film maker and we still collaborate on the soundtracks, Neil continues as a successful jazz and orchestral double bass player and Michael plays keyboards in the band Texas.
